sizes approximately 85X165 cm
In the left foreground a smugglers boat, then a shepherd
with a flock of sheep all very fine painted and typical for the work
of Salvator Rosa.
The bank is surrounded by fine painted dark forests.
On the left a castle, probably a refuge shelter of the bandits.
In the background of the painting some sailing ships.
Fine craquelé.
The canvas is of fine 17th century quality.

1. Usual images of Salvator Rosa
2. The size is unusual large in the lines of paintings …”after” and …”maner”
3. The picturesque delicacy of figures and trees typical for Salvator Rosa.
4. It carries the signature of Salvator Rosa.
